Doncic, Irving Lead Mavs to Narrow Victory
Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving combined for 63 points as the Dallas Mavericks edged out the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-105 in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.
The Mavericks trailed 102-98 late in the fourth quarter before an 8-0 run, capped by a tip-in by Doncic, gave them the lead. The Wolves were unable to close the gap, despite a late push by Anthony Edwards.
Doncic finished with a game-high 33 points and 12 rebounds, while Irving added 30 points and 6 assists. Edwards led the Timberwolves with 29 points, and Karl-Anthony Towns added 22.
