Dortmund Take First Leg Advantage
Borussia Dortmund have taken a narrow advantage in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals after a 1-0 win at home to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night. Niclas Füllkrug's clinical strike in the first half proved to be the difference between the two sides, despite PSG having the majority of possession and chances throughout the match.
The result leaves Dortmund in a strong position heading into the second leg in Paris next week. They will be confident of securing a place in the final, having kept a clean sheet at home and having shown that they can match PSG in terms of quality.
PSG, on the other hand, will need to show more attacking intent if they are to overturn the deficit in the second leg. They will also need to be more clinical in front of goal, as they had a number of chances to score but failed to take them.
The second leg of the semi-final will be played at the Parc des Princes in Paris on Tuesday, 14th April. The winner of the tie will face either Manchester City or Real Madrid in the final.
